Here is an alternative healing exercise for you. It combines a mind-body exercise and reiki healing energy in a natural health approach.

  1.  Sit and relax in a comfortable, quiet place.
  2. In your mind, place your daily concerns outside the door.
  3. Close your eyes and take three deep breaths, allowing your belly to rise on the in-breath and fall on the out-breath.
  4. Mentally, slowly scan your body from your toes to the top of your head.
  5. Notice where you move easily and clearly through areas of or body and where you find difficult spots. Don’t judge or try to change those hard spots, just look at them.
  6. Do you find areas that are hot or cold? Tight, congested, knotty, hard? What color are they? Do they have a sound, feel, smell or taste?
  7. When you’ve finished the scan, go back, one by one, to those difficult and arthritic areas.
  8. Gently allow and encourage natural healing energy to enter those areas.
  9. See, hear, and feel those areas relaxing, loosening and clearing. Visualize any blockages or build ups opening, dispersing and being released from your body.
  10. Imagine cool blue or green energy flowing clearly through the area. Notice the temperature change that occurs. Become aware how the area feels differently.
